March break & Doc's visit

The coming week is the March Holidays ... yipee ... finally some breathing space for me to pack some of my stuff to prepare for the arrival of baby Ashley in May. Yesterday, we have managed to buy the rest of the newborn items and now it is a matter of organizing it.

Baby Ashley weighs around 1.7kg now ... hehe ... at 30w 5d. So excited that I will be carrying her in my arms in less than 1.5 months time! Was reading the motherhood forum, and so many moms are taking DHA supplements (neurogain) to boost baby's brain power. So I asked Dr Han if that was necessary, and he told me that as long as I eat fish in my normal diet, there is no need to supplement. But the bad new is that I dread fish this whole pregnancy (din find it so yucky before). So was advised to take this fishy pill once a day, and DaddyNeo is going to enforce that I take them religiously!

This visit is also the time that I have to sign up for the hospital stay package. We have opted for B1 class (4 per room w aircon) and the upfront cash to pay is S$1100. I really pray hard that I will have a smooth short natural delivery. :)

Happy Birthday DaddyNeo & Nosebleed

Today's 10th March, happy birthday Zhixiang! :) Love ya!

When i reached college this morning, while talking to Clare, my student, suddenly realised that something wet and warm dripping from my nose - nosebleed. Asked Clare to spare me some tissue while I try to tilt back and hold on to my nostrils, which I later found out that a more effective way of stopping nosebleeds and swallowing blood clots is to actually hold my nostrils while leaning forward.

It turns out that nosebleeds are quite common in pregnancy, just like bleeding gums, all caused by the raging hormones. After 20 mins of pressure, it finally stopped. However, I will still mention it to Dr Han tomorrow when I see him at TPS tomorrow morning for my routine checks. Little Ashley is like kicking quite alot while all that action happened, so it kind of assured me. :) She's such a darling.

Now that I am in third trimester, I am starting to feel really heavy and tired often. This morning, I find so much difficulty in getting up from the bed, and I didn't want to wake DaddyNeo up cos' he'd just had a rough night of rushing report from 12am till 5am. He barely had an hour of sleep when I have to wake up. Anyhow, after trying several positions, I managed to get myself up.

乖宝宝

Ever since school reopen, I have to adjust my waking time to about 5:30am every morning. And at around 4+ am every morning (when I have the urge to shee-shee), I can feel BabyNeo's movements and kicks. Wah! Wake up so early also, poor baby. And while I munch away my breakfast, she also will be practising some of her somersaults and all. :)

So last nite, after telling her story, I told her to continue sleeping and no need to wake up so early every morning. She gave a nudge and I praised her. And true enough, this whole morning, she is still sleeping. I am almost done with my cereal, and think she is still dreaming away. :P so sweet.
